Jeff

As an artist I find that I immerse myself in the environment I find myself in, and it inevitably comes out in my art. When I first moved to Melbourne in late 2017 one of the first things that struck me was the amount of homeless people out there on the streets. They are in the CBD but also in the suburbs. My response was to paint a series on the Homeless. This particular work is haunting. People stride past on their way to somewhere, while Jeff sits, head bowed, utterly beaten down by life.

I have been told that some of these people are scammers, but if this is what you need to do to 'scam' people, then life is probably not going so well for you.I myself am only a couple of payments away from being in dire straights. The difference between those who thrive in our society and those who struggle often comes down to luck.
